Rich purples meet with sand and white hues to create this pure abstraction.  In places, the colours swirl and merge, creating an ephemeral structure at the centre, which may also be read as a landscape.  There is a pleasing bleeding out of the purple created using mineral essence.  Palette knife has also been used and fine brush strokes are left visible at the bottom, which has resulted in a feathering effect.
