'But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.' - Galatians 5:22-23

'Peace' is an abstract expressivist painting, rendered in oils as part of the Fruits of the Spirit collection. Whilst peace may sometimes be depicted as very pale colours (thus the ground colour and pink motifs), peace is also deeply grounding which is why there is a rich and deep olive component, both in the bottom left and right side of the canvas. The bottom left part is also symbolic of sea, referencing spiritual narratives of the divine as water.

Despite these interpretations of peace by the artist, the abstract form invites the viewer to read any meaning into the work they choose.
