The intention behind this artwork is to capture the natural elements of sunset, with the brilliant orange against dark foliage, that moment just before the sun dips altogether and yet to also deconstruct the scene into an abstraction.  In order to achieve this, she first painted a fine art rendition and then obscured it in a series of glazes, using fluid art, woven lines and palette knife work.
