Moodscape of Hastings Country Park.  This is the place where I walk my dog -it's two minutes from my house and is breathtaking with its views out to sea.  The landscape is brooding and portentous in this rendering - both because of the deep olive and ochre colours and the surreal clouds.  The rich, earthy palette evokes something of the smell after rain, of autumnal walks and dark afternoons: all magical and quintessially English.
