'Gentleness' is an expressivist abstract, rendered in oils. The pale blue ground gives way to earthy, warm brown colours, signifying grounding, in the bottom right. Overly bright colours have been avoided and the texture is smooth, achieved with loose brush strokes. There is an avoidance of definitive form to allow the viewer to interpret gentleness in the way they respond to the work.
