Inspired by the coastal regions of her home county, Julia Swaby has deconstructed the chalky element of the cliffs near her home and abstracted it to form the main part of the work. There is a tapestry quality to the main area, which falls back to a dark blue, seen from the cliff top on wintry evenings, when the sea takes on a dark, inky blue.
