Cosmic theology is the claim that the whole universe is not only made from a divine creator but able to be transfigured through divine grace.  The painting attempts to show both the veil (which separates nature from being matter) and the earth transfigured (full of light and surreal).  The work was acheived by first painting a naive landscape with heavy brushwork and then laying a sheath over it. The sheath is in vertical drops.  Both layers leave brushwork to be seen to demonstrate the work of creation.
