As the title suggests 'After Meditation' was painted in one long session after a period of consistent meditation.  The work  signposts a change in my rhythm, moving into a slower, more intentional pace with less hurrying, less wastage.  The palette surprised me - I tried not to determine it and the result was something moody and uplifting at the same time, the indigo-inky colour is brought out by the contrasting dusky pink.
